November 25, Mauritius: Linux Festival

The University of Mauritius Computer Club and LUGM will be hosting a one day Linux Festival on Monday, November 25 at the University of Mauritius. This event is free to attend and runs from 10:00-15:00.

There will be a short presentation on the BSDs in general, why it is a worthwhile alternative, the main differences between GNU and BSD, and the philosophies that distinguish the BSDs. It will end with a demo of some BSDs installed. There will also be a stand where anyone bring in their pendrives and take a copy of NetBSD, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, and PC-BSD.
